Do you offer virtual or in-person consults at this time?

Currently seeing patients virtually. In person appointments coming early 2022.

  • Virtual Consult can be done from the convenience of your own home through our Doxy video consult portal or over the phone. Doxy video consults work best with Chrome or Firefox browsers.

  • We treat and consult patients nationally and internationally.

How long are new and follow-up consults?

  • We offer consults from 15 - 90 minutes, based on time and complexity.

  • Follow-up consults are either 30-45 min visits or detailed 15-30 min visits for quick lab results review. Frequency of visits depends on your particular case but usually range between 2 weeks - 4 months between visits.

What is your cancellation policy?

Complimentary cancellation or rescheduling if done at least one week prior to your appointment. Cancellation within a week holds a fee equivalent to 75% of your appointment cost. **If we are not in the office to make a change to your appointment, please leave us a voicemail that we will receive on our next business day. Please call as soon as you can so that we can open the time slot for the next person on the waitlist.

 

Insurance & Lab Questions

Do you take insurance?

  • While we do not accept insurance for consultations, we do accept insurance for select laboratory tests. We continuously research lab companies to get the best rates and options for our patients. This model ensures high-quality care with time dedicated just for you.

  • For labwork, we have options for every level of insurance coverage and for those who don’t have insurance. Insurance may cover some labs and not other labs. We try our best to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses and to help navigate which companies or tests would be best for your unique case and insurance coverage.

Here are some questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • What type of plan do you have? (PPO, HMO, High Deductible HSA, Medicare, Medi-Cal).

  • Are you in-network with Labcorp or Quest?

  • What is your deductible, and have you reached your deductible this year?

Where can I get my labs drawn?

  1. Through a Mobile Phlebotomist If you do not live nearby, we can coordinate with our mobile phlebotomist to come draw labs from the comfort of your home. Serving from Carlsbad to Chula Vista.

  2. At LabCorp or Quest Diagnostic Center If you do not live nearb and would prefer to visit a direct lab, you can find and schedule with your local LabCorp or Quest.

  3. Functional Labs to Your Doorstep! We offer shipping for most of our at-home functional medical test kits.
